Anandita Puspitasari -- Bogor Watch
Social media for citizen journalism and provide feedback to local government
A blog to collect articles written by Bogor citizens. Most are critics, inputs, feedback, or complaints about things they can find in Bogor. They started this blog to "watch" the local government, because they'd like to see their city becoming better and more comfortable to live in. Anandita Puspitasari is one of BogorWatch founders. The blog has won several awards from Pesta Blogger event and InternetSehat.org. Anandita is also active in Bogor's local blogger community, Blogor. The local community has organized sharing sessions and meet-ups to empower offline communities in the city and introduce them to social media. In her personal blog, she wrote a lot about education and empowerment. She is the winner of Indonesia's 1st "scholarship" for bloggers, Microsoft Bloggership; and has traveled to many cities in Indonesia and abroad, because of her blog.
Anandita Puspitasari is an avid blogger and is now working as digital communications consultant. She's the first recipient of Microsoft Bloggership award, a "scholarship" given by Microsoft Indonesia to Indonesian bloggers with passion in education and empowerment. This achievement has brought her to be featured in various well-respected publications in the country; and has also succeeded in sending her to the United States for International Visitors' Leadership Program in 2010. On her spare time, Anandita is also providing blogging and social media trainings, pro bono. Recently, she wrote a book about how blogging has brought her this far--and the book was being published by MIZAN in Indonesia. |
